1878 Mar 23 Born to Ignaz Schrecker (1834-1888) and Eleonore von Clossmann (1854-1919), Monaco. Christened Franz August Julius Schrecker. The second of five childen: Alexander Franz Maria (b. Monaco, 22 January 1877 - d. Monaco, 26 July 1878); Henriette Eleonore Getrude Maria (b. Triest, 5 June 1881 - d. Vienna, 17 April 1890); Eleonore Getrude Leonia (b. Linz, 15 July 1883 - d. Vienna, 6 October 1957); Carl August (b. Linz, 10 September 1885 - d. Berlin, 193?).
1881 Sep Family settles in Linz, Austria.
1888 Jan 22 Ignaz Schrecker dies of tuberculosis in Ungenach, Austria.
  Summer Eleonore Schrecker moves family to Vienna (Döbling).
1889   Begins formal musical studies at Böhm Music School, Döbling; studies piano, organ, theory with Josef Böhm; violin and harmony with Karl Pfleger.
